Help build the HR practices the business needs, from recruitment and employee support to pay, incentives and talent development. If you are starting your career, you will work with guidance and review on candidate communication, information checks and daily processes. Experienced professionals may develop and improve HR practices within their responsibilities.
Eligibility
We welcome experienced professionals, graduates at any career stage and career changers with relevant knowledge or skills. There is no graduation-year limit. Appointments may be at officer, supervisory or trainee level, depending on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and outreach. Understand the business and its roles, work with universities and other recruitment channels, improve recruitment processes, and support candidate communication, interviews and onboarding.
- Employee support. Maintain accurate personnel records, respond to employee enquiries and support team communication. Help clarify management arrangements for employees, interns, crowdsourced contributors and third-party personnel, seeking local professional advice where needed.
- Pay and incentives. Contribute to job levels, pay structures and performance arrangements. Reconcile payroll information and people costs with finance, helping incentives reflect quality, efficiency, collaboration and long-term development.
- Talent development. Document the skills each role requires and maintain training records. Support the development and assessment of management trainees, supervisors and future project managers, tracking learning outcomes and preparing people for future responsibilities.
- Process improvement. Analyse recruitment, staffing and training information. Translate professional requirements into clear, practical processes and improve onboarding, employee support and everyday collaboration.
Core Requirements
- Relevant knowledge of human resources, business administration, psychology, employment relations or a related field, or practical experience that demonstrates the required skills.
- Familiarity with employment practices in Malaysia. Ability to consult reliable sources and, with guidance, check payroll, statutory contributions and relevant deductions, understanding the relationship between HR and finance. Seek professional support when a requirement is unclear.
- Practical experience using AI tools for learning or work, with the ability to explain your method and how you verified the results. Ability to organise and check information in spreadsheets, with a basic understanding of data analysis.
- Clear communication, empathy, sound judgement and the ability to maintain professional standards when handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to communicate and read relevant materials in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English as required by the role. Chinese and other project-relevant languages are an advantage.
Applicants starting their careers may draw on coursework, internships, student activities or projects to explain their understanding of recruitment, team coordination or talent development and their own contribution.
Relevant Experience
Roles with independent responsibility require practical experience in relevant areas of recruitment, employee relations, pay and performance, or talent development. You should be able to explain what you established or improved, how you carried out the work and what it achieved. The scope of responsibility will match your experience in the relevant areas.
Experience in technology companies, startups, project-based teams, recruitment process development or HR systems is an advantage.
Using AI in HR
- Use AI to help organise role requirements, interview outlines and communication records, allowing more time to understand candidates and business needs.
- Organise personnel and payroll information, identify anomalies and compare options, while independently checking rules and calculations.
- Turn approved policies into onboarding guides, training materials or knowledge resources. Keep versions accurate and retain access to human support.
Check what data each tool is approved to process and remove identifying or sensitive details where appropriate before use. Recruitment and other significant employment decisions remain with HR and business leaders, based on role criteria. Test useful methods on a small scale before adopting them in routine work.
